How to Shutdown or Restart through RDC on XP

Problem:

While connected to your Windows XP machine through Remote Desktop Connection (RDC), you can't shut down and restart. The option is not available.

Click on the Desktop to select it. Press Alt-F4 on your keyboard. This brings up the option you are looking for.
