All domain names must be purchased from a domain name registration company (Registrar). Different companies charge different rates for domain names. There are hundreds of Registrars to choose from, you can view a comprehensive list on the ICANN-Accredited Registrars page.
If you are unfamiliar with the process and simply want it to work, we can save you a few hours of research and take care of it all for only $20 per domain. This includes registering the domain name in your name and setting up the DNS records necessary to host your site. Special bulk pricing is available.
If your domain is at a registrar that charges a high yearly fee (>$30), you may wish to transfer it to a registrar that charges a much lower fee (<$10). You will get the same general service but save money. You will pay a fee to transfer your domain but you will also have your registration extended by 1 year.
To start, one of the following must be true:
The current registrar will send a confirmation email to the Primary Contact on the domain before the transfer can take place. If the email is not received and confirmed, the transfer will not occur. If the Primary Contact is not correct, you will need to work with your current Registrar to correct the record before the transfer can proceed. This strict process is to prevent domain theft.
